Celtic player Lewis Morgan’s transfer to Major league Soccer side Inter Miami is near completion as Morgan is poised to sign a lucrative 3 year deal.

All that stands in the Celtic players way is paper work and Visa checks as the fringe player is about to ply his trade in the very highly rated and growing MLS league.

Celtic are set to earn around £300,000 in the switch and its a smart move for both parties as Morgan was never going to be a star player for the Scottish Champions but might find some salvation in Miami.

It will bring an end to Morgan’s two-year spell at Celtic, which began when he signed from St Mirren for £300,000 in January 2018.

He has played 31 times in total for the Scottish champions, 18 of which have come in the current campaign.

Neil Lennon obviously wanted to use this window to trim some of the deadwood and players that he knew wasn’t going to get much game time, with Sinclair and Morgan off the wage bill the Celtic manager might feel there’s still more trimming to do.
