Celtic have received a huge boost ahead of Thursday’s vital Europa League clash, as Rosenborg are set to field a reserve side ahead of their Norwegian Cup final.
The Norwegian champions have just clinched the title in Norway and having no chance of furthering their Europa League journey, reports from manager Rini Coolen suggest that he intends to send out a second rate team against Celtic.
Coolen’s side face Stromsgodest in the cup final and he is quoted saying:
“It’s possible that some players will be rested for the Europa League match. “It will be very difficult to pick two full strength teams against both Celtic and Stromsgodset. I wish it was possible.”
Its good news for Brendan Rodgers and the Celtic team as 3 points are vital and a must win game, but no matter if its a 1st or 2nd rate squad Celtic still have to rise to the challenge and win.
