Neil Lennon has confirmed that fan unhappiness has frequently popped up in conversations between himself and Peter Lawwell.

It has become widely known that the Celtic support are becoming increasingly annoyed with how the clubs performing over the last few months.

The Green Brigade had revealed a banner outside Parkhead and it went viral, the fan group have stated its time for the board to appoint a new manager.

Neil Lennon responds to the fan upset.

Well obviously all of us are not happy with the way things are panning out at the minute but there is a calmness about Peter and the board, there’s no panic. We have been over the course and distance many times before. I speak to Peter every day. He is very, very supportive, as he is with the players and my backroom team as well.

So it is as you are, let’s get improvement, let’s get some wins, let’s play the type of football we know we are capable of, which we showed in the last 20 minutes at Easter Road, and we will be absolutely OK.

Are we all being too harsh on Neil Lennon, in someway probably yes.

If this pressure from the fans can urge the squad to get on a winning run of games then it could be worth it.

No Celtic fan deep down wants Lennon to be sacked or walk away, we want the former captain to get the club back on track and move towards the holy grail.
