Celtic boss Neil Lennon has told the Daily Record that Vakoun Issouf Bayo can only leave the club today if a new striker arrives in his place.

Celtic have already signed new Bhoy Patryk Klimala to bolster their striking department and with the return of an inform Leigh Griffiths, Bayo still might get a chance to feature for Lennon’s side as the Celtic manager looks set to go with a 3-5-2 formation.

Bayo looked set to be going out on loan to another club in Scotland so the striker could gain some valuable game time with the kind of opponents he would face will Celtic.

But Lennon has stated that Vakoun might be needed this season for the Hoops and the only way he could leave on a loan deal would be if the Bhoys signed another striker, that looks unlikely as the Scottish champions are looking to strengthen other areas of the squad.
