Benfica centre-back Branimir Kalaica has numerous clubs interested in his services as both Celtic and Leeds United look to set to make some sort of offer the 22-year-old Croatian.
The highly rated defender has had an impressive couple of seasons thanks to Benfica’s strict training methods and its not surprising that there is a long list of clubs after his signature.
Kalaica spent his youth career at Dinamo Zagreb, before moving to Benfica in 2016. The U-21 international has spent the majority of his time playing for Benfica B, but he did score on his debut for the first-team back in 2017.
Standing at an impressive 6”4, Lennon could easily mould him into a first team player especially if Ajer decides to leave in the coming weeks.
It makes sense that Leeds would be interested as it’s likely that they will be a Premier League side next season.
Celtic will have to move fast if they wish to make Kalaica apart of history next season as Lennon and his squad of 9 in a row winners aim to make it a nice ten.
