Celtic this evening have surprisingly wished Happy Birthday on Twitter to former boss Brendan Rodgers

Rodgers left in controversial fashion last February, allegedly trying to take every member of the first team coaching staff with him. This changed a lot of fans opinion on him, affecting their thoughts on his reign as a whole. So could there be another reason behind this tweet?
With the final week of the window coming up some have joked that Celtic could be trying to ‘cosy up’ to Leicester in order to try and bring Filip Benkovic back to the club, with Rodgers hinting earlier last week that it is likely he will go out on loan.
Lennon was questioned about the big Croatian defender after Saturdays victory over Ross county
“I only worked with Filip for a short term, but I know he had a good impact here last season so hopefully we will be looking to bring one or two in this week.”
If he was to sign it would come as good news for some, after Benkovic became a bit of a fans favourite around Parkhead so they will be hoping this deal is a possibility. As the clock ticks down on the transfer window, Lennon will be desperate to get some quality additions in, before it slams shut.
