Kris Boyd has claimed that Brendan Rodgers wasn’t involved in the new contract signed by Leigh Griffiths.
It seems that the former Sevco ace can barely reach for his laptop without coming up with some obsessed fantasy about troubles inside the champions of Scotland.
Recently Boyd claimed that Olivier Ntcham’s agent was trying to engineer a move to Porto with his weekly column in The Sun appearing like something from an Ibrox supporters message board.
While his own manager is highly critical of referees and the SFA Boyd has said nothing but when it comes to Celtic he has no difficulty sharing his thoughts.
Writing in The Sun about Leigh Griffiths he states: “I feel his pain because I know what it’s like to be left out of the big games.
“The worry for Leigh is that he is being left out of the majority of matches.
“Which begs the obvious question. Did Rodgers hand him that new four-year deal or was it the club?”
That question isn’t really worth answering, if Rodgers hadn’t approved the deal it wouldn’t have happened.
Tomorrow Boyd will get a close up view of the team that he is obsessed with as he watches from the bench as the champions visit the plastic pellets of Rugby Park.
In 17 years as a professional Boyd has scored one goal against Celtic which is 50% less than Henrik Larsson achieved.
Once the final whistle is blown by Craig Thomson Boyd will resume his role as a pundit with Sky Sports.
