Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard would be a good fit for Aston Villa, providing Manchester United don’t make their move first, well thats according to super pundit and football guru Kris Boyd, HARDLY.
We all know Edouard will be on alot of big football clubs transfer lists next summer and probably January too, but we as Celtic fans hope to retain the big Frenchman for at least another year.
Boyd reckons Aston Villa could easily put in a £30 Million bid then sell him on to the big clubs for a larger fee, if that’s the case then Celtic should be asking for at least £40 million.
Appearing as a pundit on Sky Sports, Boyd said: “Talk about playing with France, is it a possibility? Yes. Do I think he’ll do it with Celtic? No.
“That’ll be in back of his mind, he’ll need to make that move if he’s going to get in the French squad. I don’t think it’ll be January, but come next summer, if there’s something of £25-30million, which is reasonable for me, I think this guy will go to the very top.”
“If I was Manchester United, I would come in and give the £25-30million in the summer.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if a Brighton or an Aston Villa come in and pay the £30million for Odsonne Edouard and then he goes again.”
Football pundits like Boyd just like to say stuff that they know will get them alot of attention, If Edouard fires Celtic to League glory this season and he really wants to leave then its only fair, Celtic just need to be upfront about it and get a larger fee.
