Celtic could have had another major key player out of Saturday’s clash against Sevco as Vasilis Barkas was nearly left stranded in Greece due to no plane departures.

There was an air traffic control strike in Greece just as the big Celtic stopper was due to fly back to Glasgow and join in squad training.

Just like a few other Hoops players Barkas was on international duty with his Greek compatriots.

However, this could have been a good thing as Celtic spared no expense and flew Barkas back home in a private jet, this could also be seen as a positive as it would mean that Barkas was on his own flight rather than packed on a plane with a crowd.

Celtic have showed that they are not taking this match for granted and still have every bit of fight still in them.

Barkas will also get to experience his first Glasgow Derby and if there was ever a game for the big Greek to show off his talents, it must be this match.
