Neil Lennon has confirmed that there could be a slight chance that Albian Ajeti could be fit for a return to the Celtic team ahead of schedule.
This would mean that the poacher would be able to star against Sevco in the first Glasgow Derby of this season.
The Swiss striker has so far missed the last two of Celtic’s matches as Ajeti got himself injured shortly after scoring against Hibernian last weekend.
Celtic will need all their top players fit and ready to go this season as rotation will be an important factor as Neil Lennon aims to bring home that sweet 10 in a row.
With Sevco starting the season off strongly, we need to be well prepared and get our starting team sorted before that vital match.
The Hoops boss gives his Ajeti update:
“He has a reasonable chance of making the squad.
“Obviously, he won’t be away with Switzerland, and he will be working round the clock with the physios over the next couple of weeks.”
If Celtic are to keep Odsonne Edouard in the squad then Neil Lennon needs a player like Albian Ajeti by his side, sure there is Griffiths and Klimala in the squad that can also be utilized.
However, there seems something appealing about the French and Swiss striking partnership.
