Neil Lennon confirms that the club are still looking for another left-back but only if an opportunity should present itself, the Celtic manager has also laughed off any claims that Kris Ajer will be sold this season.
The Hoops manager speaks with the press after a laboured win today as Celtic defeated Livingston to go top of the league table, Sevco will play tomorrow against Hibernian and some pressure will be added after our win today.
The press had released numerous articles today that linked Kris Ajer with a £14 million move to Italian giants AC Milan, the Hoops manager simply laughed it off and stated that the big Norwegian will not be sold.
Also, Neil Lennon wasn’t too pleased with the question as it could unsettle Ajer further than he already reportedly is, with regards to the transfer market, Lennon has stated that if a player comes to mind and he’s available then the club will look to add to the squad but there is still plenty of time to do so.
He told media: “We’re looking. We’re actively looking. These windows, something comes up along the way and you go ‘yeah’.
“Maybe something down the line, with a few weeks to go or a week to go. There’s no mad rush to get one in, but we’d like to do it if we could.”
He added: “It’s disappointing on the day of a game that this comes out, because it can be unsettling for a player. But I thought, particularly second half, he had a real strong game.
“We don’t want to sell him. I’m not convinced £14million would cut it anyway.”
