Celtic are making preparations to make another attempt to sign Fraser Forster from Southampton but this time Neil Lennon wants to try and get the big English goalie on a permanent deal.
The Hoops support were crying out and pleading with the board to sign the 32-year-old English keeper in the last transfer window, but Celtic decided that they were not paying that kind of money for a veteran goalie and opted to splash their cash on Barkas instead.
Fast forward to now and Celtic are a shadow of the team they were last season and are trailing behind Rangers in the title race.
However, it seems that Neil Lennon is ready to send the call once again to Fraser Forster who still remains on the sidelines at Southampton, Celtic need his services yet again to try and get their season back on track as the club are bleeding goals at the moment.
It’s believed that Forster would be willing to half his wages to come back to Celtic on a permanent basis and his value wouldn’t be anywhere near what it was last season due to him not playing in England.
To be honest we think that Celtic fans would accept another loan deal as we are getting desperate now for a solid person between the sticks.
We also understand that Southampton are ready to sign Accrington Stanley’s Toby Savin this January which would send Fraser Forster even further down the pecking order.
