It has been rumoured for some time that Celtic got well compensated for losing Brendan Rodgers last February to the EPL.
The fee rumoured was said to be in the region of 9m, which wasn’t too far wide of the mark after the club confirmed today in their annual report an £8.8m payday for their ex-manager.
Some Celtic fans won’t forgive Rodgers for walking away from the chance of completing history with Celtic and chasing money down south.
Now that the dust has settled it looks like everything has worked out for the best.
Celtic have £8.8m in the bank and Neil Lennon has his side playing some seriously exciting attacking football.
