Celtic should be asking questions about Southampton midfielder Stuart Armstrong.
So far, the Scottish international isn’t having a great time of it in the Premier League. Manager Ralph Hasenhuttl doesn’t appear to rate the attacking midfielder at all.
Glasgow is the perfect avenue for him to get his career back on track. However, would he be surplus to requirements with the Hoops as well?
Celtic must throw a saving hand out to Stuart Armstrong
Armstrong was another player off the Celtic conveyor belt to join Southampton.
The Hoops got him in a cut price deal with teammate and best friend Gary Mackay-Steven under Ronny Deila.
Despite playing poorly at wide-left, it was Brendan Rodgers who cemented him as a central player. This attracted the Saints and the Scottish national team at the time.
