It was advertised as a must win for Norway, but with a last minute equalizer they eventually got a point out of nowhere.
Ajer and Norway had a fantastic draw last week again Spain and went into the match against Romania high in confidence aiming to snatch all three points and very rightly so.
Sadly for Ajer it didn’t go to plan from the get go as they only managed to come away with a draw, Scottish ref Bobby Madden was the man in charge and pointed to the spot for a very very soft penalty which was unlucky and undeserving as Norway deserved more.
The sad facts are, Ajer cant even play an international game for his country without having to deal with these idiot Scottish referees, what happens on a weekly basis in Scotland has now been shown for the World to see.
The penalty was saved and Norway survived up until the 57th minute when Romania did take the lead. The home side would nearly double their advantage when a header bounced off the cross bar and onto the goal line – Norway narrowly surviving.
In the dying minutes, Romania would be made to pay for their missed opportunities when a ball into the box was found by Alexander Sorloth to make it 1-1 on the night.
