Manchester United, the English Premier League giants, are allegedly plotting a bid for Juventus chief scout Matteo Tognozzi, who is also a rumored priority to take on a director of football role at the Scottish Champions.
Both clubs are looking to make improvements behind the scenes at their clubs, as stated by the Express, and Tognozzi is the person they look to be trying to push the change that the pair have been needing for the past few years now.
Tognozzi has a strong reputation, having previously worked at organizations like Zenit St. Petersburg and Bayer Leverkusen.
It is believed that the Italian would favor a move to England and that would be a tempting deal if a club like Manchester United were involved, but it could come as a shock to the Hoops who are working in the background to try and get a person in to fill that role.
The club is in dire need of a renovation when it begins training for next season and future. The restoration continued with the announcement that new CEO Dominic McKay would join the club next season.
The next appointment is important and it has to be the position of Director of Football. That is the new way of thought with the direction football is going and it should be the path the club needs to go in at this particular moment.
