LAZIO issued a statement tonight criticizing all fans on match two of the Europa League against Rennes for being discriminatory inside their stadium.
They then go on to speak about the ‘ Deeply Damaging ‘ penalty as stated by Football Italia, which seems to indicate that they already realize the sentence that is coming and that it could be a full stadium shutdown via the sounds of things.
Last week UEFA charged the club, with their hearing moving as opposed to Thursday to early this week. Although there has been no official word from UEFA on any penalty, the Lazio statement appears to suggest some kind of punishment that punishes non law-abiding fans, i.e. Stadium or closure.
The statement refers to the right of appeal.
We will find out very soon what the final decision is, but if it is an absolute stadium ban then Celtic fans wont be welcomed into the grounds, that would spell disaster for many who have already booked for Rome.
