John Hartson took to Twitter over the past few days since Celtic were defeated and chucked out of the Champions League qualifiers, the former Hoops striker sent out some strong Tweets in support of his friend Neil Lennon.
The Celtic manager has been highly criticised since the defeat on Wednesday at the hands of the Hungarian champions, and rightly so as the performance was below par but it was Lennon’s team selection and tactics that fans just couldn’t get to grips with.
Lennon chose to play Christie as a striker and leave out both Klimala and Ajeti as Odsonne Edouard remained injured.
The full squad just seemed off and certain players looked uninterested and basic mistakes were made that lead to the opposition scoring two goals.
The Celtic support took to Twitter straight after the defeat and the majority agreed that Lennon isn’t the man to lead the club in Europe with previous gaffs against Cluj and Copenhagen were used as evidence.
The Hoops fans were split with some agreeing with Hartson and some getting their views out there in response to the Welsh Dragon.
