Celtic are expected to announce a sold-out crowd for next Thursday’s Europa League match against Jablonec at Celtic Park.

On Monday, Scotland will pass Level 0, which means more things will be open, but it is important to note that social separation is not a legal necessity.

Stadiums must still submit plans for crowds more than 5000, although Celtic and their Glasgow rivals will be able to play at a full-capacity stadium in the future.

Celtic will now follow in the footsteps of the Ibrox club, who have already guaranteed that their Euro encounter next week would be sold out.

Season ticket holders will be able to return to their seats, and fans will be able to cheer on their favourite team once more. Facemasks will be required for some time to come, although there is less risk of transmission outside.

This is a significant step forward for Celtic and Scottish football. We’ve been shut out for so long, and returning to the stadium will be a bittersweet experience.
