There is positive news regarding the rumour of Kris Ajer leaving Celtic in this transfer window as AC Milan have ended all interest in the Norwegian defender.

The Scottish Champions have reportedly booted out a final offer from the Italian giants and ended all speculation that Ajer will be leaving Celtic in this transfer window. (source)

Over the past few months there had been growing rumours that the big Norwegian was making attempts at forcing a move away from Celtic and that his agent told Celtic to name their price.

For now Milan have been told that Ajer will not be sold for any price as Neil Lennon wishes to retain all his key players and push for 10 in a row and Kris Ajer has also stated that his only focus is Celtic and the league.

The serial winning club have also issued a “not for sale” broadcast to any other suitors and claim that there have been no other clubs in for our Norwegian defender thus ending all speculation that former manager Brendan Rodgers and Leicester City making any bids. (source)

Big decision for the champions

Some fans might think that Ajer’s heart isn’t in it but the big defender is still one of our key defenders and his pressense and knowledge of our game could prove vital this season.

You don’t want too many new players in the squad right away and having both Jullien and Ajer next to Shane Duffy is just the right balance for a back three.
