Neil Lennon has heaped alot of praise on both January signings Klimala and Soro as the Hoops manager spoke with Celtic TV about the quick turnaround that both players have made regarding their integration with the 9 in a row squad.
Many fans thought both Klimala and Soro were going to join the long list of signings that vanish into the Celtic void and never make it to the first team, its an easy thing to happen and better players have vanished in the past as managers find it hard to change a winning squad of players.
Polish striker Klimala, who cost £3.5million, started only one game, made three substitute appearances and is still waiting for this first goal for the club. Ivorian defensive midfielder Soro, who arrived in a £2million switch from his Israeli club, didn’t even get the chance to step onto the pitch as the campaign came to a premature end in mid-March due to the coronavirus pandemic lockdown.
But both of Lennon’s combined £5.5 million signings have excelled in training and now going into pre-season as the Hoops manager has stated that both are working really well with the squad and starting to gel.
The Irishman, speaking to Celtic TV, admitted: “They’ve started to really integrate well and we are delighted with both of them.
“It was short a turnaround for them when they came in January, but they have had a good pre-season.
“It’s the same with Christopher Jullien, this is his first proper pre-season with us and likewise with Boli Bolingoli. Moi Elyounoussi, as well. Hopefully, all these guys will get the benefit of that.
“They are quality players who are part of the preparations, getting their fitness and physical development and the sort of team bonding we are doing.
“But there have not been too many changes and that is important for us going forward.”
