Celtic have stopped winger from leaving club with previous offers rejected.

Celtic’s prolific attacker Mikey Johnston has stated in a quick interview that the club have stopped him going out on loan in the past with Johnston being highly wanted by some clubs in Scotland and England.

Johnston is considered to be one of Celtic’s brightest young talents, but he is yet to get a consistent run of games in the Bhoys’ first-team.

Celtic FC goal scored by Mikey Johnston

The prospect has made just 12 league appearances for Celtic this term, with some supporters suggesting that he would be best off getting regular action out on loan.

He said: “People have talked about loan spells a couple of times – and it’s something the club have stopped me from doing.”

Celtic Football Club clearly rate Johnston must higher than fans think and don’t want him learning from another team but would rather he trains everyday with the hoops and earn his first team place.

To be fair its definitely working out for the young attacker as 9/10 when Mikey Johnston gets a shot he makes it worth his wait as he started against Hearts in the last league game of the season and bagged himself both goals of the game.
