Chris Sutton has issued Celtic a warning not to go anywhere near Joe Hart this summer and not to make any attempts to sign the former England international.
The Hoops have become favourites to sign the ex Manchester City number one as Hart’s contract is due to expire, with Sutton against his former club offering a contract to Hart.
Joe Hart was at one time in his career considered to be in the top 5 best keepers in the world, but far too many blunders resulted in his Manchester career ending.
Now the goalie can’t even get a game in the English Premier League and we understand why Celtic would be an ideal choice for the shot stopper.
Sutton states that Celtic cannot afford to gamble on a keeper like Hart, they shouldn’t waste big wages on a keeper who’s career has only declined.
When signing Forster, Lennon knew he was a great keeper who just lost his way and now it looks like Celtic will be priced out of a move for him on a permanent basis, even though we kick started his career.
Sutton spoke with Record Podcast:

“Why would Celtic, whether he cost money or a free transfer, want to spend big wages on Hart? He’s not the keeper that he was.
“He’s 33 years old, maybe he could come up and resurrect his career but Celtic cannot afford to take a gamble this season.
“That would be a gamble to sign Hart, looking at the form which he has been in. It hasn’t been good enough and Celtic cannot afford slip-ups.”

Celtic seem to have magic when it comes to keepers and just maybe Hart will flourish at Parkhead but the deal still might not happen.
