Celtic are keen on signing Greek striker Vangelis Pavlidis who currently plays in the Eridevise for Dutch club Willem II.

According to Greek sports site the Scottish champions have made an offer of around €6.3 million and also a 10 percent sell-on clause, this offer was rejected and Willem II returned a counter offer of €9 million plus the sell-on clause.

Celtic were quiet in the first week of this crucial transfer window but it sounds like the Hoops are planning for a double striking swoop as Lennon needs some strong reinforcements for Celtic’s title battle.

With Pavlidis scoring 10 goals in 19 games so far this season, the Greek striker would surely do well in Scotland but more importantly he knows the European game, Polish Striker Klimala is also set to sign for the Hoops with just a medical that stands in his way, both these players could be crucial to Celtic’s 9th Title in a row.
