Celtic In Striker Development With Süper Lig Giants
Trabzonspor striker Caleb Ekuban is desperate to move to Celtic according to reports from various media outlets as Lennon feels more fire power is needed this season.
Celtic have increased their offer for the Ghana international from €4million to €6m (£5.4m). However, the media believe that Trabzonspor have now set an asking price of €8m (£7.2m).
However, the Ghana international could force Celtic’s current bid to be accepted as he wants this move to the Scottish Champions to be concluded. (source)
Celtic seem to be eager to land Ekuban as their bid just keeps increasing but the striker has also said that he will accept whatever the outcome may be.
Celtic have to make the decision on whether this is a deal that needs to be done. He’s clearly highly-rated in Turkey, with 10 goals to his name this season and 18 in total for the Super Lig outfit.
The striker could be a great player in Scotland but is he the man to score goals in Europe as that will be the place Celtic aim to improve on this season by reaching the Champions League group stages.
The former Leeds United striker didn’t have a great time playing in England with only managing to score 2 goals in 21 games.
