Celtic are understood to have renewed their interest in Derby County left-back Lee Buchanan, according to Derbyshire Live.

Making some superb inroads in the transfer market, Ange Postecoglou has managed to complete four signings in the form of Reo Hatate, Johnny Kenny, Yosuke Ideguchi, and Daizen Maeda.

Now, the Aussie could be set to dip into the Sky Bet English Championship for his newest potential recruit.

Celtic are said to be keen on Derby County full-back Lee Buchanan, with his contract set to expire at the end of the current campaign.

West Ham, Watford, and Cercle Brugge are believed to be some of the other clubs interested in his services.

Buchanan addition would make perfect sense for Celtic

Despite the success stories of both Greg Taylor and Liam Scales this season, Buchanan would provide depth and competition to push both positional counterparts for places in the side.

In 2021/22, he has made 15 appearances for the Rams as they battle against relegation to the English third-tier. Buchanan also has two caps for the England Under-21 side.

Potentially available for nothing, he would be a low-risk gamble for Postecoglou who could prove to be an intelligent acquisition for the long-term at Celtic.
