Celtic Join 10 Club Battle Royal For 36 Goal Hitman
Celtic are eager to land former Charlton striker Lyle Taylor but are in contest with a host of other clubs for the 36 goal hitman with Rangers included.
The 30 year old goal scorer has built up a decent scoring record in the championship and Charlton were desperate for Taylor to renew his contract for next season.
But the striker knew there was high interest in him and rejected the offer form the English club, Celtic and Rangers have already held talks with Taylor and his agent earlier in the Summer.
But Taylor, who has scored 36 goals in 67 games for Charlton, has been linked with a number of clubs such as Nottingham Forest, Swansea, West Brom, Burnley, Galatasaray and Sivasspor.
The media reports:
Both Celtic and Rangers “held tentative talks” with representatives of Taylor earlier this summer, but that the former Partick Thistle and Falkirk man is also interesting the likes of Nottingham Forest, Swansea, West Brom, Burnley, Galatasaray and Sivasspor.
With so many clubs involved in signing Lyle Taylor it could mean that the striker will choose the club he feels will offer him a first-team place and Lennon may not be able to keep that promise.
