Celtic set to make enquiries to Le Havre about the French club’s talisman striker Tino Kadewere as Neil Lennon hopes to strengthen his attacking options going into the second half of the season.

Celtic have been linked with a few players since the start of last December and Bratislava’s Sporar was the main name being passed about, Lennon also confirmed the link, however Le Havre striker Kadewere seems to have popped up from nowhere and the French Ligue 2 club want some serious cash for their star player as we have read its in the region of £9 million.

Kadewere

Celtic have a recent track record on spending that kind of money on one player as they did on Edouard and could yet again make some investments if they feel the player is worth it, with elite clubs keeping tabs on our prized striker, the Hoops board might be plotting a double striking raid with both Kadewere and Sporar joining the Scottish champions this month.

Celtic manager Neil Lennon will no doubt already know that it will be hard to keep Edouard past the summer window so it only makes sense that the Celtic board allow the gaffer to spend a chunk of money now, that way Celtic will be alot stronger going into the final push for the league and most importantly be ready for the Champions League qualifiers in the summer.

Its a hard one to call but we do hope as Celtic fans that the Hoops hierarchy have finally learned that if you spend well and prepare, Champions League football could be achieved rather than holding back on money and hoping for the best.
