Celtic are reportedly in the hunt to sign Bournemouth striker Lys Mousset and understandably that has received a mixed reception from many of the club’s supporters. According to the Daily Mail, Celtic are interested in signing the 23-year-old striker in the summer but he is valued at £10 million by Bournemouth.
It is understood that the Hoops could offer some of their players in a part-exchange deal for the French forward, but it really doesn’t make any sense why the Scottish champions are so desperate to sign someone who is so average.
Some Celtic fans on Twitter would be pleased with signing Mousset but he has done nothing to suggest that he’s worth Bournemouth’s valuation and the Bhoys should probably stay well clear. Celtic also need to hire a manager before anything else so it is not a good idea to try to sign someone who the next boss at Parkhead might not want.
