Celtic Look To Bring Former Youth Player Home
Celtic are keen on signing Aaron Hickey as the Hearts defender has become a target for a few top clubs this season.
The young defender left the Celtic youth and joined Hearts, the crafty left-back has managed to fight his way into the Hearts first-team at the age of 16 years-old.
Hickey looks set to reject any contract offer from the Edinburgh club as he enters into the final year of his current contract.
This has sparked a host of clubs including Celtic to take notice of the situation and they may make a move in the summer to try and lure Hickey away from the Jambos. (source)
Our Thoughts
Celtic might have let Aaron slip through their fingers before but now its time to bring the youngster home as with the current financial situation at Tynecastle, it could prove an easy negotiation to sign him.
This is Celtic’s model, we buy our nations top talent with a view to making a huge profit one day.
Hickey has potential to be a fine defender one day and Lennon could easily get that from him.
