Celtic are set for more in-depth talks with Andraz Sporar this week as the Scottish Champions are moving closing in securing their 20 goal hitman, various news outlets have reported Celtic are keen on making Sporar their first signing of January.

There’s no doubt Celtic don’t have a secure second striker to support Edouard, Griffiths doesn’t look like he will be fully ready anytime soon and Bayo has been plagued with injuries all season.

The Celtic board know they need to back Lennon in this transfer window as the fans demand they secure the league, and rightly so as Rangers are posing more of a threat than last season.

Andraz Sporar

Andraz Sporar has had a fantastic season so far with Slovan Bratislava with having already scored 20 goals, and to add to his impressive tally the striker has bagged goals in Europe against teams such as Wolves, Besiktas and Braga clearly showing he is the perfect fit for Celtic.

Bratislava chairman has already stated that Andraz will not be sold for less than £6 million, with interest from other clubs it would mean Celtic would have to get the deal done as quick as possible.
