Cristian Gamboa appears to have settled nicely at his new club as he aims to keep VFL Bochum in the Bundesliga 2, the defender aims to turn his career around.

Gamboa only managed to make 31 appearances for Celtic in the three years he was in Glasgow under Brendan Rodgers.

Rodgers purchased Gamboa from English club West Brom and was deemed as a challenger for the right-back position.

However, after several chances in the first team, Gamboa didn’t do well enough to standout and has been forgotten by many Celtic fans.

A change in club has seemed to suit the defender as since he moved to Bochum last summer, Gamboa has started to become a regular for the Germans and is currently helping them avoid relegation from the Bundesliga 2.

Neil Lennon didn’t field Gamboa once after he was appointed in February. In fact, the Costa Rica international didn’t even make a single matchday squad under the current Celtic manager.
