Celtic are ready to discuss a possible transfer of Omar Colley as the Sampdoria defender becomes a real target for the Scottish Champions.
The media claim that the Italian side are demanding a staggering £10 million for the 27 year old defender, a price tag that Celtic would never pay but the Scottish Champions do believe that Sampdoria will offer a little wiggle room and a deal can be done. (source)
Lennon has already spent a considerable amount so far in this transfer window and any thought of buying another valuable defender with only recently bringing in Shane Duffy would be a precaution as Ajer could potentially leave the club.
We believe that Celtic will enquire about a figure that will be acceptable to the Italian side just incase a large offer comes in for their key Norwegian Ajer.
If Ajer should leave it would be crucial to Neil Lennon to quickly purchase a replacement as three CB’s are needed for the club’s perfect 3-5-2 formation.
