Celtic Ready For Swiss Striker Move
Celtic could be ready to make their move for West Ham striker Albian Ajeti as the Hammers have officially placed the player on the transfer list as Lennon searches for his first signing of the summer.
Lennon has already held talks with West Ham and the English outfit are willing to let Ajeti leave, but with a hefty price tag of around £6 million it could spell bad news for Leigh Griffiths and signal the end of his career in the Hoops.
Ajeti is one of these players, and despite the fact that he was signed for £8 million just last season, West Ham are ready to let him leave. However, Celtic may have to pay around £6m for the 23-year-old this summer and although a loan move has been suggested, it looks like the Hammers are looking for a straight sale.
Good and bad news
If Celtic are keen to sign the forward and are willing to spend £6m on him, then that could spell danger for Leigh Griffiths as it’s unrealistic to think that the Hoops would spend such a fee on a player if he wasn’t going to be a first-choice forward alongside Odsonne Edouard.
