It seems that Celtic have offered Steven Fletcher a deal to come and join the Scottish Champions for their 10 in a row season as Lennon wants the former Hibernian man to bolster his attacking options.

According to the media, Celtic are rumoured to have offered Fletcher a one year deal with the Hoops having an option of a further year if all goes well for the free-agent. (source)

It seems that the striker’s agent is attempting to hold out and renegotiate for a full two year deal as the 33 year old wants a more secure stay in Scotland.

Both Lennon and Fletcher want a deal to be made and going by sources online it seems it will get over the line despite majority of the support against the hitman coming to Glasgow.

Steven Fletcher has still had some good form over the past season as the 33 year old managed to score 13 goals in 27 games for Sheffield Wednesday in the English Championship.

For a player that will cost nothing, he could still prove to be a good signing as he still knows where the goal is and in another way of looking at it, Lennon could be signing a free-agent as Odsonne Edouard would be staying for at least this season meaning the gaffer can spent his cash on strengthening other areas that are lacking depth and cover.
