Celtic could be ready to sign Motherwell playmaker David Turnbull as sources have confirmed that both parties have agreed personal terms.

The deal has reported near completion due to Turnbull and Celtic finally agreeing terms for a second time over the past season and a bit.

A source told media outlets that Turnbull has agreed to a long-term contract with the Scottish Champions and that a £2million-plus offer has been agreed by the two clubs.

The highly rated Motherwell star has returned to top form after last year’s Celtic move was cancelled due to an on-going injury with Turnbull’s knee that Hoops doctors discovered.

Turnbull looks set to be a more reliable player that will replace Tom Rogic who has been rumoured to be leaving Celtic Park after a lengthy stay.

Rogic has all the skill in the world but the Aussie simply cannot stay match fit and Lennon needs players who can play when called upon.
