Celtic are looking to the future and are interested in signing highly-rated QPR striker Sinclair Armstrong for the player to one day become a first-team star as a squad clear-out could happen this summer.

With the 17-year-old Irish sensation currently available on a pre-contract as Armstrong’s contract with the English club ends this summer, Celtic are very much interested in the striker.

However, Celtic face stiff competition from English Premier League giants Manchester City, the Hoops could potentially have their feet in front and could offer Sinclair Armstrong first-team action before City could.

The 17-year-old is very well respected in the Irish youth set-up along with Celtic players Jonathan’s Afolabi and Lee O’Connor who have all been placed out on loan this season.

Although Celtic haven’t had a great track record of late regarding youth players and their chances at making the senior squad, everyone could get their shot whenever a new manager is named.

The player made his professional debut at just the age of 15 for Shamrock Rovers back in 2018 and his development is on a positive path, Celtic could land a real bargain if they play their cards right.
