Alex Crook who’s a Journalist that covers various clubs in England has stated that Southampton are willing to allow Forster and Elyounoussi to stay at Celtic until the end of the season in whatever form that it.
The duo are contracted to Celtic on loan until May and June but the league will resume at a much later date and Lennon would have lost two key players who played vital roles in Celtic’s quest for nine in a row.
If indeed the Scottish league would need to resume past both player’s contracts, Crook has confirmed that Southampton will be relaxed about the situation and allow Fraser Forster and Mohamed Elyounoussi to extend until the league is ultimately finished.
Speaking to talkSPORT as cited by the Daily Record, Crook said:
“Neil Lennon has come out and said we really need them to stay to the end of the season whenever that may be.
“Because they are both under contract Southampton are pretty relaxed about that.
“If they have to extend their loans I think they will so that’s good news for Celtic.”
