Celtic Rekindle Interest In Former Key Target
This whole Celtic and Turnbull saga seems to have taken a positive twist and a move could be back on the table for both parties as Lennon has reportedly sent his scouts along to watch the Motherwell midfielder.
Turnbull was very close to becoming a Hoops player last year and Neil Lennon even went as far as getting an interview set up to unveil the Motherwell player, but his medical report revealed a severe injury that put him on the sidelines that season, Lennon couldn’t invest that kind of money on an injured player so the deal was off. Since then Turnbull has made a recovery and it seems the midfielder is back on Celtic’s radar as the Hoops sent their scouts to watch him play in Motherwell’s preseason friendly against Kilmarnock.
It makes sense that Celtic want to see Turnbull in action before potentially making another move for him as they’ll be keen to see how he looks after the surgery and the subsequent long lay-off.
The midfielder could be a great player for Celtic and with most clubs having financial problems, Lennon could land himself a bargain.
