Celtic could have another key injury on their hands as Neil Lennon gives an update on the injury of Jeremie Frimpong which was picked up during the win at Motherwell.

The young Dutchman suffered this injury through a shocking tackle from Motherwell player Devante Cole, who only picked up a yellow card, it was a clear red card challenge.

Neil Lennon said:

“It could be ligament damage, we don’t know yet. We will have to assess him over the next couple of days.” Neil Lennon told Herald Scotland.

Celtic did manage to defeat Motherwell 4-1 and Neil Lennon got his team back on track after a terrible loss at the hands of Sparta Prague last Thursday night.

However, with another potential key injury on our hands things aren’t looking good as Celtic still have more players leaving for international duty soon.

It was the last international break which saw a host of key players suffer at the hands of Covid-19, fatigue and injury.
