Celtic are highly interested in Barcelona star Alex Collado as the Scottish Champions are eager in taking the young starlet on a season long loan.

With Celtic legend Henrik Larsson recently taking up a high coaching role with the La Liga giants, Celtic’s link to Barcelona could very well pay off as Lennon wants to take on Collado as cover for James Forrest.

Barcelona are ready to allow the right winger to ship out on loan and gain some vital first team experience. Although there seems to be a host of clubs from various nations who also want the youngster as reported by the media, Celtic could be the better solution.

It still might prove to be a tough task in persuading the player to join the Scottish Champions as Celta Vigo, Genoa, Hertha Berlin, Real Sociedad, Sassuolo, Stuttgart, Torino and Werder Bremen are all in the hunt for his signature.

Celtic could have a better chance if Neil Lennon calls up his old pal Larsson and the super Swede whispers in Ronald Koeman’s ear.

On the plus side, Celtic do have a great track record at developing players on loan and also offer a greater chance that Collado will get the games that he requires to play, there will also be more eyes on the club also as this season would prove to be the most important in a longtime.
