Celtic could be about to make a significant appointment at the club with the news that recruitment chief Nick Hammond is likely to be offered a permanent position.
The Scottish Media reported that the club are set to appoint the 52-year-old as their full-time head of recruitment, with him working on a temporary basis since June after predecessor Lee Congerton left the club to rejoin Brendan Rodgers at Leicester.
According to Scottish Media, Hammond has won the approval of chief executive Peter Lawwell, with both parties set to sign an agreement on a permanent position this week.
Celtic had a very busy summer in the transfer market, with 11 players coming to the club under Hammond’s watch during the transfer window.
Fantastic news for Celtic fans as Hammond had a brilliant summer recruitment spree, he managed to cover the positions that Celtic needed most and also signed for the future.
