Celtic are set to earn a nice chunk of change from the sale of Aaron Hickey as the Heart’s left back could be the subject of a £1.5 million bid from numerous clubs including Bologna from Italy.

The highly wanted defender is being chased by a host of clubs including Celtic, the Scottish Champions have yet to make an official bid to the Edinburgh side but if Hickey is sold to any other club then Celtic will still be due 30% of the reported £1.5 million fee.

This is due to the fact that Aaron Hickey is the product of the Celtic youth academy and future fees apply.

This would net the Hoops a decent return of around £450K of which could be used to strengthen elsewhere.

Lennon has been in the market for a left back and many media outlets did report that Hickey was on Celtic’s list of targets.

Hickey made 33 appearances for Hearts last season and was one of their bright sparks in a dull season. Whilst his teammates prepare for life in the Championship, Hickey will be likely to be playing his football elsewhere next season.
