Celtic have reportedly had a bid rejected for centre-back Omar Colley as Sampdoria have rejected a bid of around £10 million from the Scottish Champions.
The media outlet SampNews have claimed that Celtic had indeed placed a bid of around £10 million with the offer being cash and add-ons.
The Italian side have also rejected this offer for the Gambian defender who has two years left to run on his current deal.
The 27 year old still remains a key transfer target of Neil Lennon’s and its thought that Celtic will return with an improved offer but only if Kris Ajer should be sold.
The big Norwegian defender has remained a consistent target of AC Milan and it has been rumoured for months now that Ajer and his agent want to force a move out of Parkhead.
If Ajer wants to leave the Scottish Champions then Celtic should only allow such a move to happen if they are certain a replacement is guaranteed, if that should happen to be Omar Colley then Celtic could be getting another physical player at Parkhead.
