Olivier Ntcham could be set to leave Celtic in the coming days as Southampton are in the final stages of completing an acceptable bid for the Frenchman.

It was common knowledge in the media that Southampton were keeping tabs on Celtic’s French midfielder and the club could be aiming to recoup some funds after failing to reach the Champions League.

After Celtic had signed David Turnbull from Motherwell many fans wondered who would be on the move out of Parkhead. Tom Rogic was rumoured to be leaving but now it seems the fan favourite is staying at Celtic for 10 in a row.

A source has claimed that Southampton are eager to beat their English rivals to Ntcham’s signature as Celtic have placed a value of £12 million of the classy midfielder.

As Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg left The Saints for Spurs earlier this year, Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl will be desperate to secure his replacement as soon as possible.

Should Celtic Sell Ntcham?

The player was rumoured to be one of the few who didn’t want to be here and that does fit Ntcham’s profile as in the past he has pushed for a move away from Celtic with a failed transfer to Porto a few years ago.

The Frenchman does have a huge amount of talent and he has been playing well recently, will his form continue after the transfer window closes?

If the rumours are true then Ntcham should be sold if he really wants to leave the Scottish Champions, we now have Turnbull in and Rogic will hopefully get back to full fitness.
