Hatem Abd Elhamed looks almost certain to leave Celtic in the January transfer window as the Hoops defender shares a personal photo on his social media account.

The defender confessed over the last few weeks that he wishes to head back to Israel to be with his family as life at Celtic has made him a sort of recluse.

The 29-year-old stated that his family cannot get visas to live in Scotland and that he’s alone here, Elhamed also said that even before Covid-19 struck his life hasn’t changed, he was alone before the pandemic.

The photo that was shared was of Elhamed and his agent Dudu Dahan in Paris as many media outlets suggested the defender is indeed in Paris to speak with interested parties over a potential move away from Glasgow.

Although we cannot verify if the photo was recent or not, it could very well be an indication that a transfer deal is close to being completed as clubs such as Maccabi Tel Aviv and Maccabi Haifa are interested.

The defender never held down a place within Lennon’s squad as Jeremie Frimpong managed to get ahead in the pecking order before Elhamed.

We wish the 29-year-old well and thank him for the time he was here playing with Celtic, good luck Elhamed.
