The Celtic support have truly lived up to their “best fans in the world” title as the Parkhead faithful have in recent weeks injected a substantial amount of money into the club’s coffers.

The Celtic board members must be walking around their mansions with massive smiles as the fans have purchased 50,000 season tickets with an extra 15,000 Tims waiting patiently for their turn at owning a season ticket, and what makes that scenario even more impressive is the fact these amazing fans have stumped up a small fortune when we don’t really know when we can watch games live in person.

Another impressive revenue stream that Celtic can boast was their kit deal with legendary sports brand Adidas, that an army of the support have pre-ordered along with added extras such as training gear etc.

International sports retailer JD Sports have become exclusive partners with Celtic at distribution, things are really looking good this year, while its sad that many small businesses and even huge ones are so mismanaged that with what’s happened this year with the pandemic, many will go bust.

But Celtic, (while we will always get a few fans that just expect money to be spent) can boast more substantial growth even from the previous year alone.

With Lennon seeing a few player exits such as  Craig Gordon, Jozo Simunovic, Jonny Hayes, Daniel Arzani, Mauritz Bauer, Fraser Forster, Eboue Kouassi  and Calvin Miller, the wage bill has been lightened by a huge amount maybe in the form of £120,000 per week, so we know there is room for a few quality players to come in.

We expect Neil Lennon to be given a decent sized transfer budget and while we only seem to hear whispers of who’s a Celtic target, we should prefer it that way as Lennon likes to do his business in private and not the media.
