Celtic could be set to lose out on signing the highly rated Aaron Hickey from relegated Hearts as the 18 year old former youth product seems set to be on his way to Bundesliga Champions Bayern Munich.

Celtic are amongst many clubs that have been tracking Hickey for the past season as the youngster has earned himself 33 appearances playing for Hearts in the Scottish Premiership while receiving glowing reports from the media.

The German giants seem to be buying up a bulk of the Scottish talent and that’s down to Celtic’s former Head Of Recruitment David Moss, who acts as an agent to Hickey and most of the young stars in Scottish football.

The German media have claimed that Bayern are willing to instantly pay the £1.5 million needed to secure the deal but Lennon does still rate Hickey and with the deal not being confirmed, Celtic could snatch the defender as first team games and Euro football could swing it for the Scottish Champions.

Celtic will need to act fast if they wish to make an offer as Aaron Hickey has been offered a tour of the German club and their facilities.
