Celtic are keen on signing highly rated defender Jack Tucker from league one side Gillingham FC, as Lennon prepares his summer targets.

Gillingham boss Steve Evans who has in the past said he would love to manage Celtic one day has stated that Tucker is “worth a fortune” for the league one club.

Evans has stated that Celtic will have to pay a few million to sign him as Tucker has been instrumental in the Gills maintaining their 15 game unbeaten run.

“We found Jack Tucker who we were told was being released from the football club and we gave him a new chance – and he’ll go for millions,” Evans said.

At the moment Lennon has a good group of stoppers with Ajer, Jullien and Simunovic being the main ones just now.

As back-up Celtic have reliable Bitton also Elhamed coming back to full fitness who can also play that role.

Lennon will just have to see how Jack Tucker finishes of his season in League One and go from there.
