Neil Lennon has confirmed that Celtic were approached by two French clubs on deadline day regarding a certain French midfielder.

On Monday, the Scottish Champions managed to conclude a very successful transfer window while also surprisingly keeping all their key players at the club.

One of those players was Olivier Ntcham as the French midfielder was the subject of a last ditch double attempt by Bordeaux and Brest as both clubs wanted the Hoops star on loan.

The French star has become the target of various clubs over the last two seasons, similar to another star Frenchman Odsonne Edouard.

Many fans thought the midfielder was attempting to force a move away from the Scottish Champions, but to our delight Celtic managed to retain Ntcham and the rest of our key players.

Lennon confirmed interest:

There was just a bit of interest, but nothing that we were interested in doing for a start and nothing that would have tempted us either.
